A modular site built for growth into other brands
For Captain Morgan I was required to deliver a site that gave the client absolute control of page templates. Generally sites are built with a limited amount of templates that the client can populate with their content, however this was not sufficient.
Along with Anita Leung (Designer) I broke down all the content into several core modules then extended them to add more functionality, this allowed the build to follow a inheritance pattern.
The backend mirrored this and provided any combination, number or arrangement of modules.
The menu, also bespoke used the entire view when displayed, this focused functionality and didn't clutter the users view with any unnecessary content. It used SVG's to produce a 'slice' through the menu items in theme of the brands Sword Logo.
The site integrated with 3rd party API's to offer social sharing, Diageo's own custom 'Age Gate' and tracking.
